Alex
You can tell eleven year old Alexjandro; who prefers to be called Alex, was born in the spring as he's an all-out typical little man who loves to be active and outside. His infectious smile will draw you in and his sense of humor is evident when he becomes comfortable with you. His athleticism can be seen in some of his favorite outdoor activities such as swimming and biking.
Alex is a bright young man who receives some supports in school. He loves to read and math is one of his favorite subjects. Alex can be very outgoing and sociable; however he at times has difficulty expressing his frustrations in appropriate ways. Building up his tolerance level is something Alex recognizes he needs to continue to work on, and he is committed to making great strides. Alex is a handsome bi-racial youth who shares an African American and Latino heritage. He has expressed wanting to learn Spanish to celebrate his heritage and a bi-lingual family, or one willing to learn the language with him would be of interest to him.
Alex may be hesitant with his family at first but his desire to be in a family will win out with patience, love and reassurance. His family will need to give him a lot of attention and supervision and with the right supports in place a family will be a wonderful part of watching this young man grow to his fullest potential!
