"My name is Asia and I just turned 15 years old. Please don't be afraid because I'm a teenager. I'm very nice! More then anything, I want to be in a HOME. I need to be with someone who is going to take care of me and love me." Making high honors in school, writing beautiful poetry and having a passion for dancing are all qualities of which Asia is deservedly proud. She has aspirations to become a social worker so that she may work with children and she needs a family to help her navigate through life.
Honesty and trust are key characteristics Asia is seeking in her family. Most important is a family who will encourage her and never give up on her even through some of those challenging teenage moments. She needs a family who will make extra efforts to get to know her and understand her. Being patient and using soft words; not shouting, are key components to positive communication with her. Asia has a strong sense of "right and wrong" and wants to set things straight if she believes someone is being unjustly treated. Asia reflects she wants "a family that will encourage me and never give up on me" and a family who can understand when she does something "that makes you mad" she will respect you if you are honest with her.
Loyalty is very significant to Asia and she is very giving of herself when caring for others. She enjoys visiting her sisters; and maintaining this relationship with the support of her family is crucial to her. Believing in God has helped Asia make sense of her world and attending to her faith is very important. Praying for a family is uppermost in her heart as Asia knows God is there for her through good times and bad and she is hopeful HE will be able to answer her prayers by helping to find her family. Can you be the family to fulfill her prayers?
